The future of Alejandro Garnacho looks set to be one of the biggest talking points in the final few hours of the January transfer window.
Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho continues to be linked with a move away from Man United before the end of the day despite being just one of four forwards currently available in Ruben Amorim's injury-hit squad. So, who is leading the way to sign Garnacho today?
Alejandro Garnacho Next Club Odds
Garnacho Next Club | Best Odds |
---|---|
Tottenham | 11/4 |
Chelsea | 8/1 |
AC Milan | 20/1 |
As you can see from the odds table above, Tottenham have the shortest best price to snap up the 20-year-old (11/4 William Hill). However, we've looked at a possible twist to the tale.
In a typical Deadline Day merry-go-round, Garnacho's future may well depend on a few others involved in the day's main cast - namely Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku and Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel.

The Athletic has reported that Nkunku is set to stay at Chelsea after interest from Bayern Munich and Man United came to nothing.
However, the player is likely to keep pushing given that Enzo Maresca has repeatedly preferred Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson as the two central cogs in his attacking setup.
Despite the reports suggesting any deal is off, he remains odds on to join Bayern Munich before the end of the window (5/6 Ladbrokes) and a 6/4 chance to sign for Man United.
It seems unlikely that Bayern would sanction a move for Nkunku unless they've freed up the space by signing Tel (now as big as 13/2 to sign for United having closed yesterday at 4/5 with one bookmaker).
Equally, it's unlikely United would have the money to sign either Nkunku or Tel unless they sell Garnacho - the subject of interest from several Italian clubs as well as Tottenham and Chelsea.
So, how does this all play out? We're in a strange period where all three players staying put is probably the favourite option. However, one deal could equally trigger the other two to happen.
Nkunku to Bayern, Tel to United and Garnacho to Chelsea? It could happen.
