Europa League Odds: Who are the favourites to win the competition?

The two English teams are vying for favouritism in the Europa League odds market.

As we close in on the semi-final second legs of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League, Man United and Tottenham Hotspur are unsurprisingly rated as the frontrunners to win the competition, both in terms of bookmaker odds and bets placed through oddschecker.

Europa League Favourites

Holding a commanding 3-0 lead from the first leg against Athletic Bilbao, United are the odds on favourites to win the Europa League (they are 1/100 to reach the final). Ruben Amorim's side are given an implied chance of 54.5% even at the best price of 5/6 available on William Hill.

This dominant position is reflected in the betting market, with 41.9% of the total winner market bets placed on them since the start of this week.

Despite a challenging domestic season, United's European campaign remains strong and their path to the final appears all but sewn up.

Leading 3-1 against Bodo/Glimt, Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham are close contenders with best odds of 7/5 (AK Bets). They've garnered 25.6% of the bets in the winner market this week, indicating significant public confidence in their chances.

However, their inconsistent away form and key injuries - including James Maddison and Heung-Min Son - could pose challenges in the return leg in Norway.

Bodo/Glimt (28/1) have attracted an 18.1% share of the bets. Their impressive home record in European competitions, including victories over Lazio and Porto, suggests they shouldn't be underestimated - especially on their artificial turf.

Finally, Athletic Bilbao - facing a daunting task to overturn a three-goal deficit at Old Trafford - are the clear outsiders at 50/1 (bet365). They have taken just a 14.4% of the outright market bets this week. Despite the long odds, the final being hosted at their home ground, San Mamés, could provide added motivation.

In summary, while Man United and Tottenham Hotspur are the clear favourites to reach the final tonight, both Bodo/Glimt and Athletic Bilbao have demonstrated resilience throughout the tournament and could yet spring surprises in the second legs.
