Next Tottenham Manager Odds: 5/1 favourite as Ange needs Europa League win

A win in tonight's Europa League final might not be enough for Ange Postecoglou to keep his position as Tottenham manager next season.

Ange Postecoglou takes his Tottenham side into the final of the Europa League in Bilbao tonight knowing that he probably needs a win to keep his job for next season. However, the WhoScored prediction for the match suggests his side are going to come out on the wrong side.

Tottenham sit one place above the Premier League relegation zone having lost the most games in all competitions in their history (25) - 21 times in the league.

However, they still have a fighting chance against an equally maligned United, who have suffered the most league defeats (18) since losing 20 in 1973-74.

The bookmakers make United slight favourites to win despite Tottenham winning all three meetings this season – including a thrilling 4–3 win in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

United's chances hinge on the performance of talismanic captain Bruno Fernandes. One of the most popular bets on the final through oddschecker has been on him to score anytime, while the competition's top scorer also features in our 30/1 bet builder.

On the other side, can Ange delivery on his promise of a second season trophy? Or will a final defeat spark even more talk as to who will replace him as Tottenham manager?

The next Tottenham manager market holds similarities to its United counterpart, most notably the prominence of Crystal Palace's cup winning manager Oliver Glasner.

Second favourite behind Massimiliano Allegri in the United market, Glasner is the favourite to replace Postecoglou at Tottenham going into tonight's final (best price 5/1 on bet365).

Now 50 years of age, Glasner caught the eye of Premier League suitors by winning the Europa League with Frankfurt in 2022, the season before he took the German side to the final of the DFB-Pokal only to lose 2-0 to RB Leipzig.

He has only been with Palace a little over 15 months since replacing Roy Hodgson but has already landed the club's first ever major honour by beating Pep Guardiola's Man City in the FA Cup final last weekend.

Second in the market is Thomas Frank (6/1), whose Brentford side remain outside contenders for a European place going into the final day of the Premier League season.

They do, however, need to overturn a three-point deficit and five-goal swing on Brighton and would require Chelsea to win the Europa Conference League. Frank is 6/1 on BetVictor, where new customers can get 40/1 for either side to win the final

Third in the next Spurs manager betting is Francesco Farioli (6/1), who left Ajax over the weekend after an incredible end of season collapse cost his side the Eredivisie title. He left after just one season having let slip a nine-point lead with seven games.

The only other contenders with a single figure price with any bookmaker to replace Postecoglou are US head coach Mauricio Pochettino (third favourite to replace Ruben Amorim at Man United) and Burnley's promotion-winning manager Scott Parker.

Ange Postecoglou Cup Final Record

Tottenham's Australian manager has caused the stir this season by refusing to back down on his promise of winning a trophy in his second season. Of course, he remains on track to uphold that promise in Bilbao, so how good is his cup final record?

He lost a J League Cup final with Yokohama F. Marinos in 2018 and a Japanses Super Cup with the same side two years later but his cup final record is otherwise unblemished (nine wins including two Scottish League Cups and one Scottish Cup with Celtic.
