Next Tottenham Manager Odds: Who are the biggest rivals to Thomas Frank?

Thomas Frank remains the big favourite to replace Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham manager - but who else is in the running?

Just two weeks after the dust settled on a rollercoaster season for Tottenham Hotspur, the future of Ange Postecoglou has been decided.

16 days after guiding Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years - a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Europa League final - Postecoglou has been shown the door by Daniel Levy.

Tottenham’s 17th-place league finish, marked by a club-record 22 defeats - the most in a single campaign without relegation - had raised significant concerns among the board and supporters alike.

Now that Levy has wielded the axe, who is the favourite to be Spurs' manager next season?

Who is the favourite to be the next Tottenham manager?

Brentford's Thomas Frank is currently the odds on favourite to be the next Tottenham manager at a best price of 4/7 with bet365 (implied 63.6% chance).

The Brentford boss has seen his odds slashed to near even money from as long as 7/1 less than two weeks ago, following reported talks with the Spurs hierarchy. He reached 1/5 with one bookmaker yesterday before levelling out at a general 1/3 (4/7 still available at time of writing).

The 51-year-old manager, has been widely praised for his impressive work since taking charge in 2018. He guided the club to Premier League promotion in 2021 and has since solidified their status as a competitive mid-table side, even pushing for European qualification in recent seasons (10th place this season).

However, concerns remain over whether Frank has the profile or Champions League experience required to take Spurs to the next. He is also contracted to the Bees until 2027 and Frank’s public loyalty to Brentford and hints he may stay for the 2025/26 season raise doubts over his willingness to depart.

Marco Silva is another serious contender to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur at a best price of 5/1 (bet365). The Fulham manager guided the Cottagers to an respectable 10th-place Premier League finish - seven spots above Spurs - this season.

Reports of Silva rejecting a Fulham contract extension suggest he may be open to a move. However, interest from Saudi side Al-Hilal and a rumoured £40 million offer could complicate matters for Spurs.

Third on the list, meanwhile, is Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola (16/1 shortest but a best price of 20/1) - completing the set of managers still under contract with Premier League clubs.

His Cherries side flirted with European qualification last season before finishing just outside in 9th. Iraoloa signed a two-year deal when joining in July 2023 but extended a year ago meaning he is contracted until the end of the 2025/26 season.
