The 2025/26 Premier League sack race has already taken a few scalps this season, with the pressure mounting on a number of candidates.
The Premier League sack race is heating up, with pressure already mounting on several managers as we head into gameweek 17 of the season.
We have already seen the five managerial departures this season with Nuno Espirito Santo (Nottingham Forest), Graham Potter (West Ham), Ange Postecoglou (Nottingham Forest), Vitor Pereira (Wolves), and Enzo Maresca (Chelsea) all leaving their respective posts.
Following Enzo Maresca's sacking from Chelsea on January 1st, West Ham boss, Nuno Espirito Santo, had been the hot betting favourite in the Next Manger to Leave Their Post market.
However, it is now Ruben Amorim who is under the spotlightand the odds-on betting favourite following his comments on Sunday January 4th, post Man United's 1-1 draw with Leeds.

Who is the favourite to be sacked next in the Premier League?
Ruben Amorim's odds to be the next Premier League manager sacked have been cut from 5/1 to 4/9 following Manchester United's 1-1 draw away at Leeds.
In his post-match press conference, Amorim said: "I just want to say I came here to be the manager, not to be the coach."
"I just want to say that I'm going to be the manager of this team, not just the coach. I was really clear on that. That is going to finish in 18 months and then everyone is going to move on. That was the deal. That is my job. Not to be a coach."
Those quotes, mixed with United's recent slump in form (3 wins in 11), has seen punters backing him to be the next manager sacked.
Second in the betting is West Ham's Nuno Espirito Santo, who had been the odds-on favourite before Ruben Amorim's comments on Sunday 4th January.
West Ham are winless since the start of November (4 draws & 5 losses), and most recently they were beaten 3-0 away by the Premier League's bottom club, Wolves.
The Hammers are 18th in the league and are now four points off safety, with a huge match against Nuno's former club, Nottingham Forest, on Tuesday night which could potential decide the Portuguese manager's future at the East London club.
Scott Parker is the third-favourite at the time of writing. His Burnley side are winless since the 26th October, and have lost nine of their last 11 matches.
