Following their 4-0 win over Wolves on Gameweek 1, Manchester City have been the most popular bet through Oddschecker to win the 2025/26 Premier League title.
Since Liverpool’s opener against Bournemouth last Friday, City have accounted for 16% of all bets placed through Oddschecker on the Premier League winner market. That’s a sharp rise from the 6% share they held pre-season – their lowest figure in over a decade.
City’s price has shortened too. Having opened at 7/2, their odds have been cut to 11/4, with 3/1 still available as the best price across the grid.
Despite this surge in betting interest, Pep Guardiola’s side remain third favourites in the outright market. Liverpool currently lead the way at 15/8, while Arsenal are just behind at 9/4.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have seen their support cool. After being heavily backed pre-season, their title odds have drifted from 8/1 to 11/1 following their Gameweek 1 stalemate with Crystal Palace.

Tijjani Reijnders Surges in PFA Player of the Year Betting
It was a Premier League debut to remember for Tijjani Reijnders. The Dutch midfielder was instrumental in City’s opening-day victory, scoring once, assisting once, and walking away with the Man of the Match award.
That standout display has seen Reijnders’ odds for PFA Player of the Year 2025/26 slashed across the board. Priced at 66/1 before the season kicked off, he is now as short as 9/1, with 14/1 still available as the best price.
The betting interest has followed suit. Since the weekend, 20% of all Player of the Year bets placed on Oddschecker have gone on Reijnders, making him the most-backed player in the market.
His teammate Erling Haaland still heads the betting at 8/1, as he looks to claim his second PFA Player of the Year award.
