Mike Dodds is the 2/1 favourite to become the next Bromley manager after Andy Woodman left the club by mutual consent.
Bromley are looking for a new manager for the first time in more than five years. Andy Woodman left the club by mutual consent on Thursday, two days after a 4-0 home defeat to Leicester. It was a third straight League One defeat and a fifth in a row in all competitions.
Woodman's spell was the most successful period in the club's history. He won the FA Trophy at Wembley in his first full season, then won the National League play-off final in 2024 to take Bromley into the EFL for the first time in their 132 years. Last season Bromley won the League Two title, and Woodman was named League Two Manager of the Year.
Life in the third tier has been much harder. Bromley are 23rd with eight points from 10 games, level with Barnsley and one point clear of bottom club Wigan, and they have conceded more goals than any other side in the EFL. Assistant manager Byron Webster, a former Bromley defender who retired as a player at the end of last season, takes charge on an interim basis.

Who Is Favourite to Be the Next Bromley Manager?
Mike Dodds is favourite at 2/1, an implied chance of about 33%. He is assistant head coach to Tony Mowbray at Blackburn, but he has already run his own team as head coach of Wycombe. Bromley would offer him a second chance to manage in League One.
Stuart Maynard is second favourite at 4/1 (20%). He led York City to the National League title last season, but York sacked him in July before their first League Two campaign, citing a difference in direction and vision. Out of work and with a recent title on his record, he would be a straightforward appointment for a club that has also come up from non-league.
Luke Williams and Dave Challinor are joint third favourites at 6/1 (14%). Williams is also available, after Peterborough sacked him in September. That gives Saturday's game an added edge, because Peterborough are Bromley's opponents and are now managed by Robbie Savage.
Bromley Next Manager Odds on Byron Webster
Webster is 8/1 (11%) to get the job permanently, the same price as Darren Ferguson. That price could move quickly. Results against Peterborough on Saturday and at MK Dons on Tuesday would give the board a reason to hand him the job, or to look elsewhere.
Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves has thanked Woodman and promised the club will go into "this new chapter with the same ambition and determination", but he hasn't said when a permanent manager will be named.
When Do Bromley Play Next?
Bromley host Peterborough on Saturday 24 October at 3pm BST. They travel to MK Dons on Tuesday 27 October at 7.45pm GMT, then visit fellow strugglers Wigan on Saturday 31 October at 3pm GMT.
