The odds on West Ham to win the Championship have drifted out from 6/4 to 9/4 with BetMGM UK, and after two home defeats in a row the bookies have no intention of letting the Hammers off lightly.
AK Bets still have the best price of 5/2 on West Ham to win the Championship.
15 of 21 bookmakers have eased their odds on the Hammers.
Middlesbrough are the favourites at a best price of 15/8 with Betway.
West Brom won 3-1 at the London Stadium, handing West Ham a second straight home league defeat.
Let's call this one as it is: West Ham were picked apart on their own patch. West Bromwich Albion walked away from the London Stadium with a 3-1 win, with Felix Horn Myhre, Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Callum Styles all getting on the scoresheet. Jarrod Bowen scored the home side's only goal, his ninth of the season, and he remains the clear focal point of this attack. The trouble is that Bowen's goals are being cancelled out at the other end far too easily.
That result came a week after Southampton won 3-2 at the same ground, so the market had already seen the warning signs. Back-to-back home defeats, with the defence leaking goals, is exactly the sort of messy form that pushes a title price out, and the drift to 9/4 with BetMGM UK reflects that. It gets worse, too. Defender Kyle Walker-Peters went off with a second-half thigh injury against West Brom, which leaves an already stretched back line even shorter. The West Ham odds have moved the right way for the layers, and on this evidence it is hard to argue with them.
Championship Win Market odds
Best odds 5/2 with AK Bets, worst 9/4 with Coral, Betway, Betfred and Bet365. Paddy Power, StarSportsBet, PricedUp, Skybet and Betfair Sportsbook also sit at 9/4, so AK Bets stand alone at the top price. Middlesbrough remain the favourites at 15/8 with Betway.

Who is ahead of West Ham to win the Championship in the betting?
Middlesbrough are the favourites at a best price of 15/8 with Betway, and the log leaders gave nobody a reason to doubt them on Saturday, beating Charlton at home with Will Lankshear grabbing a brace. West Ham are second-shortest at 5/2 with AK Bets, but while Boro are winning comfortably, the Hammers are dropping points at home. Behind them, Southampton and Wolverhampton both won convincingly to keep the chasing pack close, which makes the Championship odds look a lot more crowded below the favourite than they did a week ago.
Middlesbrough – 15/8 with Betway. A 3-0 home win over Charlton keeps them in charge.
West Ham – 5/2 with AK Bets. Drifting after home defeats to West Brom and Southampton.
Southampton – 13/2 with Paddy Power, Skybet and Betfair Sportsbook. Followed their win at West Ham by thumping QPR 4-1.
Wolverhampton – 13/2 with Bet365, Unibet and Betway. Beat Cardiff 3-0 at Molineux with three headed goals.

What happens next for West Ham to win the Championship backers?
The Hammers need a response on the road, and quickly. West Ham travel to Cardiff on 4 November before another away trip to Blackburn, and over 3,200 supporters have already sold out the away allocation in Wales' capital city stadium. Those fans will be looking to Bowen to keep scoring, but the real question is whether this defence can stop the bleeding without Walker-Peters. Our view is simple: until West Ham show they can keep the back door shut, the drift is justified and Middlesbrough deserve their place at the head of the market. Two away wins would change the mood fast, but the Hammers have to earn that shorter price back on the pitch first.
