Five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods will tee it up at the Masters this week, but what are the odds for him winning the tournament on Sunday?
The 47-year-old Woods, winner of 15 majors, has been playing a hugely reduced schedule this year as a result of the injuries he suffered in a life-threatening car crash in 2021.
The five-time winner of the Masters, most recently in 2019, made it to the weekend last year before running out of steam - finishing 47th after carding rounds of 71, 74, 78 and 78.
He subsequently missed the cut in the Open Championship at St Andrews before taking seven months off competitive action, returning in the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club where he finished just inside the top 50 (T45).
Tiger Woods odds to win the Masters
It might seem like a fanciful idea, but many will still believe that Woods can turn back the clock and challenge the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy at Augusta this weekend. He is a best price 80/1 (worst price 40/1) to win his sixth green jacket and 16th major on Sunday.
Woods has an average score at the Masters of 71.05, more than a shot better than any other golfer to have racked up more than 75 rounds. He holds the record for the best back nine performance, with a collective 16 under par across the four rounds on the way to his first title in 1997.
Since that first win 26 years ago, he has only finished outside the top 20 on five occasions (T22 in 2004, T40 in 2012, T32 in 2018, T38 in 2020 & 47 in 2022). He only finished outside the top five in one of seven events between 2005 and 2011.
