Masters Odds: Who is the favourite to win the Masters 2024?

Scottie Scheffler is favourite to win his second green jacket in The Masters 2024.

The world number one is a clear favourite to walk away with his second Masters win this week at a best price of 9/2 (an implied chance of 18%).

This comes as no surprise to many as he has been a consistent top performer recently, winning two and finishing tied second in his last three tournaments.

He is no stranger to the Augusta National course as this will be his fifth Masters appearance two years on from his three stroke victory over Rory Mcllroy in the 2022 tournament.

The Texan has finished inside the top 20 in each of his four starts in The Masters so far.

The Masters 2024: Who are the favourites?

Golfer Best Odds Implied Probability
Scottie Scheffler 9/2 18%
Rory McIlroy 11/1 8%
Jon Rahm 12/1 7.6%
Xander Schauffele 16/1 5.9%
Hideki Matsuyama 20/1 4.7%

He will be hoping to defy the trend that recent winners tend to struggle to compete for the win again in preceding years. Niall Lyons points this out in his analysis of the likliest first time major winner.

The bookmakers think that Scheffler's 2022 final day chaser, Rory McIlroy is his biggest competition this week. McIlroy can be found at a best price of 11/1 at Boylesports (an implied chance of 8%).

The Irishman once again goes on the hunt for his career grand slam, this will be his 10th attempt as he looks to add the one major he is yet to win to his collection.

Behind McIlroy is last years winner, Jon Rahm who makes his eigth Masters appearance and can be found at a best price of 12/1 at various bookmakers to win in consecutive years.

Rahm has finished in the top 10 in five of his last six attempts at The Masters.
