Masters 2026 Odds: Who is favourite? McIlroy, DeChambeau or Scheffler

The first major of the 2026 season gets underway next week as Rory McIlroy takes to Augusta to defend his title.

The 2026 Masters returns to Augusta National Golf Club, once again staging the first major of the year on a course where strategy, execution, and nerve are tested like nowhere else in golf.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy returns after finally securing his long-awaited Green Jacket in 2025, completing the career Grand Slam in a dramatic playoff, and now faces the added challenge of becoming the first back-to-back winner since Tiger Woods.

Meanwhile, world No.1 Scottie Scheffler continues to set the benchmark in elite ball-striking and arrives with the opportunity to claim a third Masters title in five years.

Bryson DeChambeau, coming into the tournament with back-to-back LIV wins, looks to recover from a disappointing final day 75 which left him in T5 in 2025 having entered the final round two shots back from McIlroy in second.

Who is the betting favourite to win the Masters 2026?

At the head of the market, Scottie Scheffler is a deserved 6/1 favourite (best price AKbets) given his relentless consistency and elite Augusta record, with two Green Jackets already and no finish outside the top 20 in his six previous starts. His all round statistical dominance, combined with a run of 17 top-10s in 20 PGA Tour starts last season, fits perfectly with the statistical profile typically required to win at Augusta National Golf Club.

He comes into this tournament on a uncharacteristically poor (for Scottie) run of T12,T24,T22 finishes but you just can't write off the world number one.

He also hits all the trends of past winners in Niall Lyons' Masters 2026 Trends tracker.

Bryson DeChambeau sits at 12/1 (best price AKbets) alongside Jon Rahm. DeChambeau’s power gives him a clear edge on Augusta’s par-5s, arguably the most important scoring holes on the course, and back-to-back wins heading into this tournament highlight his current form.

He'll need to overcome a final-round fade in 2025 but Bryson is just the type of character to use that to fuel him. His short game has come on massively around Augusta and with finishes of T6 and T5 in the last two years, another run at the title seems inevitable.

Despite being the defending champion, Rory McIlroy is slightly longer at 13/1, which reflects both recent form and the historical difficulty of going back-to-back at Augusta.

His 2025 victory, where he finally completed the career Grand Slam, removes a huge psychological burden and gives the world No.2 the chance to approach Augusta National Golf Club with greater freedom than ever before.

However, a back injury disrupted his build-up, forcing a withdrawal from the Arnold Palmer Invitational before a disappointing T46 finish at The Players Championship - far from ideal preparation heading into a course that demands complete control from tee to green and total trust in both swing and body.
