Cracksman has attracted a monumental amount of punting attention in the Prince of Wales stakes.
John Gosden-trained Cracksman could have bookmakers and traders running for cover, if successful in the Prince of Wales’ Stakes at Royal Ascot today.
Despite the short price of 1/2, the four-year-old has been monumentally backed following his five consecutive victories, and has attracted the lion’s share of stakes.
In total, Cracksman has attracted 62% of all bets in today’s feature race at Royal Ascot, with punters continuing to pile on Frankie Dettori’s ride.
However, perhaps more nerve-racking for bookmakers is the fact Cracksman accounts for 87% of all stakes in the 4:20 showcase event.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “Cracksman has justified the odds-on price tag in his last two races and although the Coronation Cup victory at Epsom was not as comfortable as expected.
“However, punters still aren't thinking twice about piling into John Gosden's leading colt – and bookmakers will be watching on with bated breath.'
