Choosing the wrong bookie would have seen you miss out on £84,360 off a £10 bet.
Another cracking day of live racing on ITV this Saturday resulted in another jackpot win in the ‘ITV 7 competition.
Sharing the spoils of a cool £50,000 after successfully picking the winners of all seven televised races, the lucky three punters will be having quite a weekend. However, if they’d chosen to place their selections in a seven-fold accumulator, the outcome could have been oh so different depending on their choice of bookmaker.
If the ITV 7 winners had placed a £10 bet on an accumulator with those selections with the wrong bookmaker, they could have missed out on a massive £84,360.
The prize money for the Veterans’ Handicap Chase won by Houblon Des Obeaux was only £61,900!
Highly-rated Mares’ Hurdle hopeful Laurina started the day off with a bit of an anti-climax. She strolled home by 48-lengths in a two horse race due to some late dropouts.
The entertainment really got under way with Molineaux impressively winning at Wincanton before battling victories for Elixir De Nutz and Tedham followed. The fan favourite today, Houblon Des Obeaux cantered away to win by 15-lengths in a thrilling Veteran’s Hurdle at Sandown before Calipto and Monsieur Lecoq did enough to see off their opponents in the final two races.
