BRANDO goes after a hat-trick in this contest having won the last two renewals. The seven-year-old didn't record another win all season after winning this 12 months ago, but achieved a couple of impressive Grade 1 seconds at Haydock. He's been backed so heavily he has the honour of being today's Oddschecker Money Horse.
Breath Of Air - 13:50 Newmarket - 9/4
BREATH OF AIR was third in a listed race on his final start last year, adding to a notable win against highly-rated Mohaather at Newbury prior to that. Perhaps better than his rating of 93, Ryan Moore takes the ride for the first time today as the three-year-old looks to kick off 2019 with a win.
Jalmoud - 16:45 Newmarket - 15/8
JALMOUD went off the odds-on favourite on his debut at Newcastle last November, but narrowly missed out to stablemate Moonlight Spirit on that occasion. Having missed the break and shown plenty of promise in trying to make up the ground, the Godolphin runner is fancied to see off stiff opposition from stablemate One Vision and John Gosden's El Misk.
