We reveal the most backed horses through Oddschecker on the first day of Royal Ascot.
Too Darn Hot - 9/4 - 16:20 St James's Palace Stakes
Beaten by Telecaster in the Dante then by one of his rivals today in Phoenix Of Spain at the Curragh, life as a three-year-old has been a reality check for the standout two-year-old of 2018. With excuses for both defeats this season, punters are hoping the Gosden/Dettori combination strikes gold this afternoon.
Mustashry - 5/1 - 14:30 Queen Anne Stakes
Having impressively won the Lockinge against some of this field at Newbury, plenty are siding with Sir Michael Stoute's runner again here. There are concerns over the softer ground with more rain forecast this afternoon, but on form alone many punters believe this is the opening winner of the week.
Battaash - 9/4 - 15:40 King's Stand Stakes
Another of Jim Crowley's rides opening day rides, the five-year-old was beaten by Blue Point in this last year and has finished behind Mabs Cross since. However, his emphatic winning return in the Temple Stakes at Haydock last month is evidence enough of his class.
Laurens - 13/2 - 14:30 Queen Anne Stakes
The opening race has unsurprisingly got a good chunk of the early money and it's the superstar filly that is catching the eye alongside Mustashry. Second to that rival on her seasonal reappearance in the Lockinge, if she can muster any of her 2018 form she will be a serious player.
Guildsman - 13/2 - 15:05 Coventry Stakes
Archie Watson's juveniles have been in sparkling form of late and Guildsman's recent win on debut at Goodwood was one of the most eye-catching. Oisin Murphy takes the ride again as the two-year-old looks to make a huge statement on his second start. He's been tipped up by our man Andy Holding today.
