We reveal the most backed side in each tier of English football.
Brighton to beat Southampton 6/4
Brighton have got off to a very good start under their new manager Graham Potter. Thumping Watford 3-0 away from home before drawing 1-1 with West Ham at the Amex Stadium. They were much the better side against West Ham last week, they created far better chances and had a goal ruled out by VAR. Southampton, on the other hand, have struggled at the start of this season with zero points so far. They need to improve fast and with Brighton’s new look team including the very exciting Trossard and Maupay bedding in quickly it is clear why punters have been getting their money down on the Seagulls for Saturday’s game.
Blackburn are looking to make it three wins on the bounce when they host Cardiff on Saturday. They put in a brilliant away performance against Hull last weekend, only allowing Hull one shot on target all game. They put in a similar shift against Middlesbrough on the opening weekend of the season. Punters are very impressed by Tony Mowbray’s side and fancy them to beat recently relegated Cardiff. Cardiff have scored twice very late on to snatch two wins from their opening three games, but they took a 3-0 hammering against Reading last weekend. The Championship isn’t going to be an easy ride for Neil Warnock’s team and the compact Blackburn are looking to extend their winning run this weekend.
Wycombe are in fine form this season and find themselves welcoming a Southend team who look all at sea. They have lost every game so far this season, conceding ten goals and it hard to see how they are going to turn that form around. Wycombe are unbeaten this season, the highlight being the 3-2 victory against MK Dons last weekend. They look a well drilled outfit this season and punters can’t see how Southend will trouble them in any way.
Plymouth to beat Walsall 21/20
Punters fancy recently relegated Plymouth to get back to winning ways this weekend after two disappointing showings in the last week. They started their season very impressively and it looks like they have far too stronger squad for many teams in this league. They drew 2-2 to Salford midweek, conceding a penalty in the dying minutes. However, they were far the better side that evening, registering 27 attempts at goal. Punters think they will be too good for a Walsall side who haven’t won any of their last four games in any competition. They are really struggling in front of goal and Plymouth should take advantage of that and pick up an important three points
