Ireland are expected to dominate another Cheltenham Festival.
The hopes of many Irish punters lie with the Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle favourite.
Just over 7% of all Cheltenham Festival bets from Ireland in March have been on Ballyburn winning Wednesday’s opening race.
Ballyburn has received twice as many of Irish bets compared to the second most backed horse in Ireland, which is Gaelic Warrior.
Willie Mullins’ Ballyburn is currently the 4/7 favourite (best price on BetMGM) to win the Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle on Wednesday.
As mentioned, Gaelic Warrior has been the 2nd most wagered horse in Ireland in March. Gaelic Warrior is the 7/2 favourite in the Arkle Chase.

Oddschecker spokesperson Sam Eaton said: “Irish hopes were well and truly with Constitution Hill in the ante-post markets. The long-time Champion Hurdle favorite destroyed 10% of all Cheltenham ante-post accumulators when the horse was ruled out last week.”
