Ballyburn has taken nearly 70% of the bets for the Day 2 opener at Cheltenham since final declarations for Wednesday’s races.
Ballyburn is dominating the betting for the race formerly known as the Ballymore.
The Baring Bingham Novices' Hurdle - under new sponsorship in 2024 as the Gallagher Novices’ Hurdle - is the second novice hurdle of the Cheltenham Festival and starts racing on Day 2.

Although run over 5 furlongs further than Tuesday’s supreme, many have noted its proclivity to produce future Champion Hurdle horses with 2014 winner Faugheen exemplifying this theory when following up in the 2015 Champion Hurdle.
Triple Champion Hurdle winner Istabraq was also successful in this race. Willie Mullins is the leading trainer in the race with six wins, all since 2008.
The race is titled after Baring Bingham who acquired Prestbury Park in 1898 and subsequently put on the first Cheltenham Festival four years later in 1902.

It should be a straightforward win for Ballyburn if the form of yesterday’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle is anything to go by. The six-year-old Ballyburn comfortably beat Slade Steel last time out.
Trained by Willie Mullins, he will be stepping back up in trip and is a hot favourite to get our most backed treble off to a flyer in Wednesday’s opener.
The only time he’s gone beyond two miles resulted in an emphatic 25-length success at Leopardstown. He reverted to the shorter trip to contest the Grade 1 Derby Sale Novice Hurdle when last seen and won by seven lengths.
