Rachael Blackmore has a booked ride for Saturday's Grand National.
Rachael Blackmore will be aboard Minella Indo in Saturday's Grand National.
Blackmore became the first female jockey to win the Grand National three years ago when she triumphed on Minella Times for boss Henry de Bromhead. She’s only had five rides in the race in total, so to succeed at the third time of asking was some achievement.
She has had her share of bad luck, though, as she’s partnered two fallers in the race, but she’s still one of the most successful jockeys of recent times.

Her ride for this year’s race is 2021 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Minella Indo, who is currently a best price 22/1 for the race on BetMGM.
Minella Indo is carrying 11st 5lb, sixth in the weights after original top weight Conflated was the sole withdrawal from the race at the declaration stage.
Minella Indo is rated something of an outsider with the oddschecker community; 15 other runners have taken more than his 2% share of the bets since the start of 2024.
