There is a star-studded field for the Fighting Fifth even without Constitution Hill.
Newcastle was ready to play host to the returning Constitution Hill in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle before Nicky Henderson ruled him out after a public gallop at Newbury last week.
Ironically, Constitution Hill appeared to struggle to keep pace with stablemate Sir Gino who is now battling it out at the head of the betting market in his absence.
Since pulling him out of the Fighting Fifth field, Henderson has issued a more positive update on the seven-year-old, saying he is "cautiously optimistic" he'll make the King George at Kempton on Boxing Day in four weeks' time.
Constitution Hill won the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the 2022 Cheltenham Festival by 22 lengths from Jonbon before following up with a nine-length thrashing of State Man in the Champion Hurdle 12 months later.
He was ruled out of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival due to illness.
