Who is favourite to win the Oddschecker Grand National Trial?
Haydock’s Oddschecker Grand National Trial Day features a seven-race card, headlined by the Oddschecker Grand National Trial at 15:15.
The feature race of the day is a thrilling 3-mile 4½-furlong contest featuring 22 fences and a £150,000 prize pot. As the name suggests, it serves as a key trial for the Aintree Grand National.

Leading the pack is Jubilee Express who impressed with his runner-up finish behind Val Dancer in the Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow over Christmas and also boasts a course-and-distance win at Haydock from March last year.
Interestingly, despite beating Jubilee Express in that race, Val Dancer is the second favourite behind the Sam Thomas trained horse for this race. This victory was his fifth in his last seven starts.
Elsewhere, Yeah Man returns after becoming the first Irish-trained winner of this race in 29 years.

Who is the favourite to win the Oddschecker Grand National Trial
Jubilee Express is the current favourite for Saturday’s Oddschecker Grand National Trial at Haydock, priced at 10/3 at bet365 (23% implied probability).
Trained by Sam Thomas, the eight-year-old impressed with a strong second in the Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow and boasts a course-and-distance win at Haydock from last March. His proven stamina and ability to handle testing ground make him the one to beat.
Close behind in the market is Welsh National winner Val Dancer (4/1), whose staying power is undeniable having won the Welsh Grand Ntional in foggy conditions recently. His prep race win at Carlisle where he beat Skelton trained Snipe before that success adds to his credentials.
Royale Pagaille (6/1), a Haydock specialist with victories including the Betfair Chase and Peter Marsh Chase, remains a serious contender despite a recent off-day, while defending champion Yeah Man (6/1) aims to replicate last year’s triumph.
