- Four of the previous five winners were trained by Willie Mullins

- All four previous renewals have been won by Irish trainers with the first two being trained by Willie Mullins, who has also provided the runner-up for the previous two seasons

Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle
- 18 of the previous 20 winners had won or placed in a Graded novice hurdle
- No winning favourite since 2013 with 10 of the previous 11 winners bigger than an SP of 10/1
