Mordaunt continues to shorten
Penny Mordaunt continues to be the odds-on favourite across oddschecker’s bookmakers to win the Tory leadership contest with a best price of 8/11 available.
Since the release of the YouGov survey, showing Mordaunt as the favourite candidate among Conservative party members, the 49-year-old has been the most backed on oddschecker (50% of bets).
Despite receiving the most votes from his fellow MPs, former Chancellor Rishi Sunak continues to drift in price; he was the 13/8 favourite before the publication of the YouGov survey and now is as long as 10/3 in the market.
