The odds of 5/6 at the time of writing suggest that the Conservatives have a 54.5% chance of keeping their seat after the Mid Bedfordshire By-Election.
Bookies have Labour and Alistair Strathern behind in the betting at 6/4 giving them a 40% chance.
Labour and the Conservatives have swapped positions in the betting since the start of October, with the Labour 1/1 favourites and Conservatives less favoured at 2/1 just two weeks ago.

Leon Blackman from oddschecker said: “As constituents give their votes in Mid Bedfordshire, the odds have swung throughout the day as to who will land the seat.
“When betting opened this morning, the Conservatives had odds of 8/11 (57.9% chance), but those odds subsequently cooled throughout the morning.
“Labour, on the other hand, started the morning at 2/1 (33.3% chance) with the oddsmakers believing Alistair Strathern’s chances have improved through the day.”
Conservative leader and current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak continues to drift in the latest next Prime Minister odds market. Sunak, who arrived for two days in Israel last night, has faced public backlash from some after “pledging to stand with Israel”.
