Joe Biden Odds: Who can replace him as the Democratic Presidential Nominee?

Doubts continue to surface regarding Joe Biden's fitness to run as the Democratic candidate for the upcoming election.

Following his underwhelming performance in the first presidential debate with Donald Trump, discussions are intensifying about whether the 81-year-old Joe Biden should step down from the upcoming election and who might potentially replace him.

Democrats were sent into a panic following the President's lackluster, feeble showing, sparking questions about whether he still possesses the political prowess he once did and if he remains the right person for the job.

Though unlikely, it is still possible for President Biden to step down just months before voters cast their ballot.

If this is to happen there are a number of potential candidates who could step up as his replacement.

Who could replace Joe Biden?

The most obvious replacement is vice-president Kamala Harris who already brings the name and recognition and if the president were to step down during his presidential term she would automatically take his place.

She is currently a best price of 7/1 at Ladbrokes to become the next Democratic Candidate.

Gavin Newsom, one of Biden's most vocal supporters continues to be discussed as an appealing replacement for Biden.

The current Governor of California has been considered as potential candidate to run in 2028 but there have been calls for him to step in early.

He is a best price of 15/2 at Paddy Power.

The third candidate being considered is the former first lady, Michelle Obama who is a best price of 10/1 at Paddy Power.

Her name has long been in the discussion to run for President however, she has previously stated that she has no intention of running.
