US Election Odds: Trump vs Harris latest before televised debate tonight

The world is ready for Trump vs Harris, hosted live on ABC News.

Donald Trump will go head-to-head with Kamala Harris in a live debate tonight at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, hosted by ABC News.

It will be the first – and potentially only – televised debate between the two, moderated by World News Tonight anchor David Muir and ABC News Live primetime anchor Linsey Davis.

It arrives following weeks of claims from the Harris camp that Trump would avoid the date. The first debate was between Trump and Biden in Atalanta, Georgia, held before Harris jumped into the 2024 US Election race when Biden announced his withdrawal in July.

Former President Trump has chosen to give the last closing statement after winning a coin flip. Harris was subsequently given the choice of where to stand on stage and selected the left lectern, meaning TV viewers will see her on the right side of their screens.

Who is favourite to be next US President?

Donald Trump is currently the undisputed favourite to be the next US President, holding a shorter price than Kamala Harris on every bookmaker offering US politics odds through oddschecker.

However, there's not much between them. Trump is a best price 5/6 on Sky Bet but a shortest 8/11 on bet365. Harris, meanwhile, is evens in some places but a best 11/10 on William Hill.

When is the next 2024 US presidential debate?

As things stand, no date has been set for a potential second live debate - or 'rematch' - between the two. Trump reportedly proposed two other September dates, while Harris said she will agree to one more sometime in October.

The only other scheduled debate between tonight and the November election is between the vice presidential nominees Tim Walz and JD Vance on 1st October in New York.
