Kamala Harris Dominates US Election Odds Betting Following Post-Debate Polls

Since being confirmed as the Democratic Candidate, Kamala Harris has enjoyed her strongest week yet with UK bookmakers.

This week, Kamala Harris has captured 60.2% of all bets placed through oddschecker on the Presidential Election winner market, surpassing the 59.3% share she secured last week.

Following the September 10th debate, Harris has emerged as the clear favourite among oddschecker bettors, attracting 60% of all bets placed since the debate, compared to 40% for Donald Trump.

This represents a notable rise from the 50.6% share Harris held in the 30 days leading up to the debate.

Across the 24 UK bookmakers providing the latest US Politics prices to oddschecker, 21 have Kamala Harris as the betting favourite, while the remaining three have the two candidates tied.

At the time of writing, the best odds available had Kamala Harris as a 10/11 favourite, while Trump was priced as a 21/20 underdog.

Converting these odds to implied probabilities, Harris holds a 51.8% chance of winning the election, compared to Trump’s 48.2%.

This is a slight improvement for Trump, whose implied probability dropped to 46% last week—his lowest since May this year.

Leon Blackman from oddschecker said: "Kamala Harris’ post-debate surge in the betting markets is striking, with 60% of all bets since September 10th backing her to win.

“This is a significant jump from the 50.6% share she held before the debate, reflecting growing confidence in her campaign.

"Donald Trump’s position, however, has weakened. Since August 1st, his bet share has dropped to 46.2%, down from 63.7% over the previous year. Interestingly, all of the £1,000+ bets placed through oddschecker have been on Trump, leaving high-stakes bettors uneasy as his odds continue to slide."
