One bookie has the defensive prospect just 10/3 to be selected by the Arizona Cardinals.
Quinnen Williams is being backed ahead of Kyler Murray to be selected first in the 2019 NFL Draft, after a late surge of bets on the defensive end.
As big as 20/1 seven days ago, one bookie now has the University of Alabama powerhouse just 10/3 to be picked first by the Cardinals. 7/1 is available by using the Oddschecker grids.
48% of bets have been put on Williams to be picked first in the last 48 hours, more than any other player.
Kyler Murray is still the favourite to be picked first at 2/5, but we could see a similar pattern to last year, where Baker Mayfield was 20/1 prior to the draft, but was backed in and ended up getting drafted by the Browns.
Nick Bosa is on many mocks as the number two pick, but is available at 4/1 to go first. Outside of those three, there’s a big jump to Josh Allen, who is 33/1, with Dwayne Haskins 50/1.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “The market is moving in a similar way to last year, when Baker Mayfield was backed into favouritism prior to the Draft. Williams is a stud, but it would still be a huge shock if the Cardinals didn’t select a first-round QB for the second time in two years.”
