Luke Evans is a big mover in the next James Bond odds market, having been cut from 33/1 this morning to as short as 4/1 with one bookmaker.
The question that movie fans around the world have been waiting years to be answered seems no closer to conclusion; however, there has been movement in the market for the next James Bond.
Luke Evans, known for his roles in Dracula Untold, Beauty and the Beast, and Pinocchio to name a few, has seen his price shorten this morning from 33/1 into as short as 4/1 (33/1 is still available with one bookmaker) to become the new 007.
The Welsh singer and actor is the most backed on oddschecker with 25% of bets over the past week backing him for the role.
Despite shortening in the market, Evans remains around the fourth/fifth favourite to land one of film’s biggest roles.

Cavill remains the market favourite
Star of The Witcher and Man of Steel, Henry Cavill is the current favourite at 2/1 (4/1 available) and has been battling for favouritism with Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page over the last few months.
Page, currently at best odds of 11/2, received backing from the Russo brothers in July to be successful if he were to take the role.
An ever-present in the market, Idris Elba currently sits at odds of 6/1 to land the role, but told The Shop’s podcast in September that it wasn’t one of his career goals to play 007.
Cavill, Page and Tom Hardy have been the most backed through oddschecker over the last year, each taking around 10% of total bets each to replace Daniel Craig.
