Oppenheimer is expected to dominate the 2024 Oscars following its success at Sunday night’s Golden Globes.
Bookmakers are predicting Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer will pick up at least four awards at the 96th Academy Awards in March.
At Sunday night’s Golden Globes, Oppenheimer managed to pick up five awards including the top prize, ‘Best Film’.
Following last night’s success, bookmakers have slashed Oppenheimer's odds to pick up multiple awards at the Oscars 2024.
Oppenheimer is the clear favourite to land the ‘Best Picture’ award, with its odds cut from 8/11 to a best price 2/5 (71% implied chance) for the win on BetMGM UK.
Christopher Nolan is expected to double this award up with ‘Best Director’, which the bookmakers are giving him an 87% chance of winning (1/7).
Also tipped to pick up honours in March are Cillian Murphy for ‘Best Actor’ (2/5 on Sky Bet) and Robert Downey Jr. for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ (3/10).

Leon Blackman, a spokesperson for oddschecker said: “Following last night’s success at the Golden Globes, bookmakers are now expecting Oppenheimer to dominate the top prizes at the Academy Awards in March.
“Christopher Nolan’s biopic is now the odds-on favourite in four different betting markets: Best Picture, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Director and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.).
“It’s becoming unlikely another nominee will take any of these categories now with such short odds given by the bookies for an Oppenheimer success.”
