The bookmakers have had their say on the likeliest winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2024.
The 22nd series of the nation’s favourite dancing show is back in the spotlight on Saturday night as we strap in for the Strictly Come Dancing launch show on BBC One.
The famous dance floor will welcome for the first time a fresh set of 15 celebrities, made up of the usual mix of musicians, presenters, sports stars, actors and comedians.

Who is the favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing this year?
JB Gill is the surprise bookmakers' favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing 2024 at a shortest 3/1 but a best price of 4/1 with Ladbrokes and BetMGM.
The surprise is that trained dancer Tasha Ghouri now trails the former JLS star in the betting despite starting at 7/2 when the market opened just over a month ago.
The Love Island alumni still has a shortest price of 4/1 but can be backed at 5/1 on William Hill, giving her an implied 16/7% chance of winning the show.

Strictly Come Dancing Lineup
JB Gill and Tasha Ghouri might the frontrunners with the bookmakers but there is a supporting cast ready to upset the odds. In fact, the new Strictly Come Dancing lineup includes three others with a starting price of 7/1 or shorter – Shayne Ward, Jamie Borthwick and Sam Quek.
Ward (11/2 Paddy Power but 7/2 elsewhere) was the series 2 winner of the X Factor, while Jamie Borthwick (6/1) has starred as Jay Brown in Eastenders since 2006 and Quek (7/1) was one of the golden girls in GB’s Rio 2016 Olympics hockey team.
Quek is part of a four-strong sporting contingent alongside former England and Arsenal footballer Paul Merson (60/1), three-time Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Tom Dean (20/1) and runner turned bobsledder turned gladiator Montell Douglas (20/1).

When does Strictly start?
The launch show for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing will be aired on BBC One at 7:20pm on Saturday night. The 15 celebrities will be welcomed to the floor alongside judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.
The show will feature an opening routine from the professional dancers, the return after illness of Amy Dowden and a performance from reigning champions Ellie and Vito, as well as a new hit for Clean Bandit featuring Anne-Marie.
Who is the favourite to be eliminated first from Strictly?
Both ‘Magic Man’ Paul Merson and DIY SOS host Nick Knowles are the joint 4/1 favourites on Betway to be first eliminated from Strictly 2024. Morning Live doctor Punam Krishan is 5/1.
