18:00 The Hundred Eliminator

The third edition of The Hundred is reaching its climax after another successful year for the competition that has split opinion up and down the country.

Manchester Originals have reached the eliminator for the second year running and will face 2021 champions Southern Brave on Saturday evening. They will be battling it out for a place in the final against Oval Invincibles on Sunday evening at Lord’s.

The Hundred Predictions

Southern Brave are looking a strong outfit under James Vince’s leadership and have a good chance this year to lift the trophy for the second time in just the third season of the competition. Zaman Khan is a wildcard for the Originals and will be someone they look to break partnerships in the middle overs and at the death.

Who is the favourite to win The Hundred?

No surprises that Oval Invincibles are odds-on favourites to win the competition given their formidable record this season finishing four points clear at the top of the league. They are well led by Sam Billings and 5/6 (bet365) to take the trophy home. Both Manchester Originals and Southern Brave come in at 14/5 (Unibet) and have to play both Saturday and Sunday for The Hundred glory.

The Hundred Tips | Cricket Betting Tips

Southern Brave still have the same spine in their team from their 2021 triumph with the experienced pace bowlers Chris Jordan and Tymal Mills proving their worth again this year. Tymal Mills is the top wicket taker in the competition, whilst his teammate Rehan Ahmed is second and both have been key in the Brave’s ability to restrict teams to low totals.

These two teams played on Wednesday and Southern Brave eased to victory as they managed to restrict Manchester Originals to 130 thanks to some really tight bowling, before Devon Conway played a carefully constructed knock to take the Brave to a six-wicket win with five balls remaining.

Zaman Khan has burst onto the scene in recent months and has proved to be a tricky customer for batters given his unusual action which comes from a really low trajectory - similar to Lasith Malinga. He was the top bowler for the Originals in their game against the Brave on Wednesday and was effective in picking up wickets in the middle order. He will also be tasked with bowling at the death which can often lead to wickets.
