PDC World Darts Championships Day Two Betting Tips

Leg 1: Ryan Searle vs Chris Landman – Ryan Searle Win

Ryan Searle should ease into the tournament by seeing off Chris Landman on Friday afternoon. Heavy Metal has long been one of the most consistent performers on the PDC circuit, reaching the last 16 of the World Darts Championship across three of the last seven years. What’s more, Searle progressed to the last 32 on the other four occasions, so he should have the necessary big-stage experience and nous to navigate his way past Landman.

It was only 12 months ago that the Dutchman was dumped out in the first round by Lok Yin Lee, and he looks destined for another early departure.

Leg 2: Rob Cross vs Cor Dekker – Over 3.5 Total Sets

Given his uninspiring form across the second half of 2025, Rob Cross is difficult to trust at short prices to come through his first round clash with Cor Dekker. The 2018 world champion appears to be fading as a darting force, having failed to qualify for last month’s Grand Slam of Darts, while he was sent packing by Sebastian Bialecki in the first round of the Players Championship Finals.

Therefore, Voltage is unlikely to have things all his own way against Dutch-born Norwegian Dekker. The Sheriff ruffled a few feathers at the Swiss Darts Trophy in September by claiming eye-catching victories over Peter Wright, Chris Dobey, and Jonny Clayton, so over 3.5 sets looks a solid selection during his Friday afternoon showdown with Cross.

Leg 3: Gian van Veen vs Cristo Reyes – Gian van Veen Win & Most 180s

Gian van Veen is many observers' dark horse for this year’s World Darts Championship title, and the Dutchman should have enough in the locker to overcome Cristo Reyes in round one. 2025 has been a breakout year for the Giant, who triumphed at the European Championship at the tail end of October.

While van Veen has yet to taste victory on the Ally Pally stage, he returns to this year's showpiece as a major winner with plenty of momentum.

In contrast, Reyes has not graced this competition since 2020, which doesn't augur well for his opener with the world number 10.

Combining a van Veen victory alongside him hitting the most 180s will bring about an attractive increase on the general 1/10 odds for the Dutchman to prevail. Only six other players have hit more 180s (558) than van Veen across 2025.

Leg 4: Damon Heta vs Steve Lennon – Damon Heta Win

Damon Heta has often failed to live up to expectations when stepping onto the big stage, but he should see off Steve Lennon to secure a place in the second round. The Heat has fallen at the first hurdle in just one of his previous six Ally Pally appearances, reaching at least the third round across three of the last four editions.

While Lennon represents a tricky opponent, the Irishman hasn’t pulled up any trees on the oche this year, most notably tumbling out of the UK Open in round one. It could be closer than the pre-match odds suggest, but Heta’s superior power scoring should give him the edge.

The four-fold pays a best price of 2.8/1 with Sky Bet at the time of publishing.
