The Scottish Premiership is back with a bang this weekend, with a host of intriguing fixtures in store.

Defending champions Rangers kick off their campaign with a home tie against Livingston, whilst a Saturday night away trip to Tynecastle lies in store for Celtic.

Oddschecker has taken a look at the best bets, as domestic football gets underway north of the border.

Rangers clear favourites for opening day victory

Rangers ran riot at Ibrox for the vast majority of last season, conceding on just four occasions at home.

Steven Gerrard’s side were purring even towards the end of last season, and a friendly win over Real Madrid last week will only bolster their confidence ahead of the resumption of the Scottish Premiership.

Opposition Livingston did not have similar success towards the end of last season, winning just one of their last eight Scottish Premiership fixtures.

With Rangers winning to nil landing a whopping 79% at Ibrox last season, it’s hard to look past a comfortable win for the hosts.

A steadfast defence coupled with reinforcements going forward make Rangers very appealing at 13/20 to win to nil. I’m also having a small play on the handicap markets, with Rangers -2 a very fair price at 17/10.
