Arsenal vs Norwich Stats

  • Norwich have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 5 matches (Premier League).
  • Arsenal have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches (Premier League).

Betting Tip: Both teams to score

Both these sides sit on zero points with a disastrous -9 goal difference, hardly an ideal start to the campaign for Mikel Arteta and Daniel Farke. To be fair to the two gaffers they’ve both had to face Manchester City away, Arsenal have also played Chelsea whilst Norwich have had Leicester and Liverpool.

It’s a great chance for both sides to get their first point or points on the board and I think Norwich will go for it, they have nothing to fear or lose here and can count themselves much more unfortunate than Arsenal to be pointless thus far. The Canaries have an xG goal difference of just -2.4 whereas the Gunners are right down at -6.8.

Arsenal at around 1/2 just makes you shiver, they should score past a Norwich defence that wasn’t even that strong in the Championship but there’s plenty of mistakes in the home sides’ rear-guard so the 10/11 on both teams to score could well be worth a look.

Betting Tip: Kieran Tierney to be carded

I’ll also have a nibble on Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney to be carded at a juicy 15/2. The Scotsman will be up against the lively Todd Cantwell who has drawn the 5th most fouls in the league this season, he was also fouled on average 2.7 times per game last season.
