Manchester United vs Wolves Stats

  • There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 13 of Wolves' last 14 away league games.
  • Man Utd have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 4 home matches against Wolves in all competitions.
  • Wolves have failed to score in 5 of their last 6 league matches.

Betting Tip: Under 2.5 goals

Wolves games have seldom seen goals this season and incredibly their last 7 games have all seen just 0 or 1 goals. Bruno Lage certainly has the Old Gold superbly set up from a defensive standpoint but he will be eager to get his front men firing to get points on the board.

Manchester United took the pressure off a touch after a win over Burnley last time out but they’ve tended to be a bit more pragmatic than erratic under Ralf Rangnick and I think he will be happy for this game to be played on pretty fine margins and hope that his side have that added individual quality in the final third to prove the difference.

Rangnick has most his squad fit and available although Eric Bailly is now out injured along with Paul Pogba and Victor Lindelof. Thankfully Raphael Varane is now back in the frame which should give United some added defensive stability. Wolves have a few more issues with Hwang Hee-Chan, Fabio Silva and Pedro Neto out so it’s little surprise they’re struggling for goals.

Backing the unders here could therefore be a profitable way in, especially if Wolves’ matches against the top sides are anything to go by.
