West Ham vs Newcastle Tips

Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score

The Premier League weekend kicks off in East London as the Hammers host a resurgent Newcastle side at Lunchtime. David Moyes have seen his side, once a model of consistency, start to produce a few erratic results of late. They’ve lost more games than they’ve won in their last 14 games and Manchester United’s win over Brighton midweek saw them drop out of the top four.

Nevertheless, it has been a superb season overall for West Ham and although Newcastle have won three on the bounce the hosts are still firmly favoured in the betting at odds-on quotes. They have largely been very strong at home since Moyes took over and they’ll be aware that the visitors will be without right-backs Kieran Trippier and Javier Manquillo so we could see the Magpies go to a back three and then use Matt Targett and Ryan Fraser as wing-backs.

One move Eddie Howe has come in and made to great success is to play Joelinton in central midfield and he’s arguably been the best player for the Toon Army since the turn of the year. They’re still lacking numbers at the top of the pitch with a lack of a striker coming into the club in January and the injury to Callum Wilson.

That being said they’ve still managed to score in an awful lot of their games considering how low they are in the table and West Ham have been struggling for clean sheets of late with just three in their last 15 league games. Therefore the 3/4 offering on both teams to score looks the best angle of attack here.
