Rangers vs Liverpool Tips

Betting Tip: Darwin Nunez Over 1.5 Shots on Target

The Uruguayan has been the talk of the town after his performance in the 3-2 loss against Arsenal and whilst he hasn’t necessarily set the league alight just yet, he has shown plenty of promising signs up to this point.

He’s set to start up top alongside Roberto Firmino when Liverpool make the trip to Ibrox and he’ll be the man Jurgen Klopp will be looking towards to get the goals. He’s scored two Premier League goals so far and he’s a player that somehow always manages to get a shot off.

Darwin Nunez has predominantly started from the bench and has been named in the starting lineup on just four occasions for Liverpool so far this season. Of those four matches, the former Benfica striker has registered at least two shots on target in three of them.

The hosts have failed to score a single goal so far in this competition and despite playing in front of their own fans, it’s likely that Liverpool will dominate the ball once more. The reverse fixture last week saw Jurgen Klopp's side rack up 24 shots including 10 on target and I like Darwin Nunez to hit at least two goal-bound shots at even money.

Betting Tip: Virgil Van Dijk to Commit Over 0.5 Fouls

I’m dipping into the prop markets for this selection. Many people have stated that Virgil Van Dijk has not been performing at the same level as we’re used to seeing, but it’s arguable that goes for the entire Liverpool squad.

The Dutch centre-back is still a master of his craft but on the European stage, he has consistently caused stoppages by fouling an opponent and he’s an excellent price to commit one here.

Rangers have no choice but to go for it as a Liverpool win would knock the Gers out of the Champions League. I think we’re likely to see Rangers hit on the break and Van Dijk is an astute defender who will happily put a stop to opponent attacks by any means necessary.

He has committed at least one foul in all three of Liverpool’s Champions League games this campaign and the 6/5 on him doing so once again here makes plenty of appeal.
