Charlton vs Portsmouth – Both Teams to Score

Charlton host Portsmouth at the Valley after their big 4-2 victory against Exeter last Tuesday. Prior to that win, they hadn’t won in eight league games, so hopefully they’ll be able to win back to back games for the first time this season. However, they had scored in eight of their last nine games, so they are certainly a team who know how to find the back of the net, only blanking in two of their 13 games far this season.

As for Pompey, they have been a high flyer this season, but haven’t won in their last three games, with two draws and a defeat. They still sit in 5th place, firmly in the play-off positions, but they will want to pick up a win to stop their winless spell. Like Charlton, the visitors have been a high scoring side, with an average of two goals per game. They have scored in all but one of their league games this season.

With both teams free scoring, we think both teams will score on Monday night.

17:30 Monday

Sampdoria vs Roma – Roma win

Jose Mourinho’s Roma are currently lying in 6th in Serie A, just a point behind Lazio, Udinese and AC Milan above them. They have won their last two games in Serie A, including that big 2-1 win over Inter Milan at the San Siro, and will go to winless Sampdoria with a great chance to make it three on the bounce.

Sampdoria only have three points to their name and currently lie at the foot of the table. They have lost four of the last five, but they did end a losing rut last weekend against Bologna in a 1-1 draw. Their other two draws were against Juventus and Lazio, so they have shown they can hold their own against the bigger sides.

However, Paulo Dybala and co should be too much for Marco Giampaolo’s men, and we think Roma will take all three points back home with them to Rome.

Lecce vs Fiorentina – Both Teams to Score

Another match in Serie A to start off the week, as Fiorentina travel to Lecce. Both sides are just outside the relegation zone and out of form. Both sides have won just one of their last six games.

Lecce are in 16th, two points below the visitors. They have also failed to keep a single clean sheet this season.

Fiorentina have only kept one clean sheet but have failed to score since that 2-0 win against Hellas Verona, conceding five in the process.

We think that both sides’ suspect defensive records could give both teams the opportunity to score, and we think that both teams will score on Monday evening.
