Brighton vs Nottingham Forest Tips

Betting Tip: Brighton Win & Under 3.5 Goals

Roberto De Zerbi will be eager to pick up a victory in order to avoid becoming the first Brighton boss to fail to secure a victory in any of his first four league matches since Barry Lloyd in 1987.

He’ll be incredibly confident of avoiding that as they welcome Steve Cooper and his Nottingham Forest side to the Amex. The Seagulls are unbeaten in seven of their previous eight Premier League home games and have conceded an average of just 0.75 goals per league match at home this term.

It doesn’t bode well for Nottingham Forest who are struggling to create chances and one of the biggest problems they face is the fact that boss Steve Cooper is seemingly still unsure of his best 11. The arrival of 22 fresh faces in the summer always meant that there would be a bedding in period but by the time they start clicking, it could already be too late.

The visitors need to start picking up some positive results but they look so disjointed and are not playing as a team just yet. Their first task will be to avoid shipping goals and I think this could be tighter than some have predicted.

I like the look of Brighton to pile the misery onto Nottingham Forest and claim a narrow victory.

Betting Tip: Nottingham Forest to commit over 9.5 fouls

I’m dipping into the prop market for my second pick as I believe the line is far too low given that Nottingham Forest are slowly realising they will need to fight for their survival.

Unibet have set the away foul line at 9.5 and have offered evens for Forest to commit 10 fouls or more, something they have done in four of their five away league outings.

The only match they failed to record 10 or more fouls was against Manchester City in a match where they were unable to get within a close enough distance of the Citizens to make any rash challenges.

Referee Darren England is awarding 22.5 fouls per game across all competitions and I think Steve Cooper's side will have to get physical in order to disrupt Brighton’s passing game.

I’ll happily take Nottingham Forest to commit at least 10 fouls at even money.
