Chelsea vs Manchester United Tips
Betting Tip: Under 2.5 goals
These two titans clash once again this weekend as Chelsea and Manchester United go head-to-head at Stamford Bridge. Both sides look as though they’re finding their feet under new managers but it looks as though this could be a tight encounter.
This will be Graham Potter’s eighth game in charge of the blues and he has seen them concede just twice so far. He’ll be relying on his sturdy backline once again here and will not underestimate a Manchester United outfit that has already claimed wins over Liverpool, Arsenal and most recently, Tottenham Hotspur.
The unders are often the way to go when big sides meet, but this one particularly looks as though it could be a game of few goals. Five of the last six meetings between these two clubs have produced less than three goals in total and the 23/25 on offer seems a big price for the same outcome on Saturday.
I’ll side with under 2.5 goals landing once again here at a generous price.
Betting Tip: Draw
Man United have won five of their previous six away games across all competitions, only losing to Manchester City and have become difficult to beat. They haven’t faltered when facing the better sides in the division and they’ll give as good as they get here.
Graham Potter has already beaten Manchester United once this season as he left Old Trafford with all three points when he was still the manager of Brighton. His new Chelsea side are yet to suffer defeat under his tutelage but this could arguably be his toughest game yet.
Manchester United didn’t get off to a great start to the new campaign under Erik ten Hag, but they appear to have turned a corner and remarkably, can overtake Chelsea in the league standings with a win.
Both sides have tightened up defensively and there could be a battle for midfield supremacy. The last four meetings between these two sides have ended with the points being shared and I'd be happy to have a play on the same result being seen in this encounter at Stamford Bridge.
