West Ham United vs Bournemouth Tips
Betting Tip: Over 18.5 total fouls committed
I’ll be going into the prop markets for the first pick in this Monday night fixture. I was surprised to see the total foul line set at 18.5 on Unibet. West Ham United, despite sitting 13th in the table, are just two points off the drop zone and both will want to claim a positive result here to increase the distance between themselves and the foot of the table.
Referee David Coote ranks fourth in terms of average fouls per game awarded amongst referees to have officiated Premier League matches and he’s the man with the whistle here.
Games against Manchester City and Liverpool often produce lower counts simply due to them both dominating the game and moving the ball quickly, but the other three away matches for Bournemouth have all seen 19 or more fouls committed and I think evens on that line is a very generous price.
West Ham United will be without the likes of Lucas Pacqueta, Nayf Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet ahead of this one and I think this could turn into a scrappy encounter.
I’ll take the overs here.
Betting Tip: Both teams to score
I’d say both teams to score should be closer to 1/1 or even 20/21 here and so the 11/10 on offer makes plenty of appeal.
Both teams have hit the back of the net with some frequency at the London Stadium with 11 of the previous 14 competitive matches at this venue seeing both sides score at least once. Both sides are looking over their shoulders at the small gap between themselves and the relegation zone and a loss for either side could prove detrimental to their short-term targets.
The Cherries have been on the end of some drubbings this season already but they have also conceded in every away game they have played this campaign. West Ham have not fared much better having conceded in seven of their eight home matches across all competitions this season and I think we could see plenty of chances for both outfits under the lights in East London.
