USA vs Wales

Ethan Ampadu to be booked

The opening game for both USA and Wales in a group they will both have realistic expectations of getting out of. This is a huge game for both sides as they’ll see each other as massive rivals for that second spot

This makes the card market all the more tempting, explains TipMan Tips. Both teams have exciting attacking players in Gareth Bale, Dan James, Brennan Johnson, Cristian Pulisic, Ricardo Pepi and Giovanni Reyna.

Ethan Ampadu has played in centre midfield and even as a third centre back for club and country at times and up against some tricky individuals he’s sure to be tested on more than one occasion.

Ampadu was booked on his last start for Wales against Belgium and has received 16 yellow cards and two red cards in his last 39 club matches.

Senegal vs Netherlands

Kalidou Koulibaly to be booked

Senegal meet Netherlands on Monday, with both sides very happy with their World Cup draw and will both fancy their chances of qualifying, the Dutch favourites for top spot

Senegal had some awful news this week about Sadio Mane who will now miss the tournament, but they’ve still got a very good team that shouldn’t be underestimated and can give the Dutch a very competitive game.

We imagine the game will play out with the Dutch having the majority of possession and Senegal looking to hit them on the counterattack, this should play into our hands for bookings, especially for Senegal as they look to spoil the game.

Koulibaly recently signed for Chelsea after major interest has had a difficult time but historically, he’s always been good for a card due to his aggressive style of play. He’s received four cards in nine for Chelsea this season and has averaged a card 0.48 times every 90 minutes this season.

During his time at Napoli, he had multiple seasons picking up 10 or more cards and with some tricky Dutch forwards up against him he represents some good value to go into the referees book again. Testing Tips editing
