Mexico vs Poland

Gregorz Krychowiak to be booked

Mexico and Poland do battle in a huge game in Group C and although it’s only the opening game, it’s a massive one for both sides as they’ll both fancy their chances of beating Saudi Arabia but won’t be so confident against Argentina so this game has huge stakes.

The two sides, shares TipMan Tips, have averaged a combined 3.55 cards per game recently with Poland 2.3 cards for per game. Australian referee Chris Beath averages 4.57 cards per game in his last 159 games.

Gregorz Krychowiak is no stranger to a booking, especially for the national team. He received three yellows and a red at last summer’s Euros and the combative midfielder is surely to be putting in a few meaty challenges against a lively Mexico side.

Denmark vs Tunisia

Wahib Khazri to be booked

Denmark face Tunisia in their opening game will be confident of three points, but the Tunisians have proven a tough nut to crack over the years. I expect them to sit deep and play on the break looking to spoil Denmark’s play and frustrate their opponents, which inevitably should lead to some bookings.

Tunisia average 2.56 cards for per game and Mexican referee César Arturo Ramos Palazuelos loves getting his cards out himself, he’s averaged 4.72 cards per game in his last 140 matches and has handed out four or more cards in 70% of his matches.

Khazri many will remember from his time at Sunderland in the Premier League and although playing as a wide man he’s always been good for a card. He’s averaged a card every 0.4 games for his national team and has had multiple seasons at club level where has picked up double figure cards.

Wednesday's card double carries the same top price of 12/1 for two Group F fixtures.
