Leg 1 Selections: My Brother Mike, Busby
MY BROTHER MIKE was behind Harbour Vision here on Saturday but is a lot better off at the weights time and should get a much clearer passage. It is not ideal being drawn very wide but he likes to be produced late, so he is expected to be finishing strongly late, which might be enough to see him make the frame once more in this race. BUSBY is unbeaten over this course-and-distance (three-from-three) and bolted up here last time. He has to be considered a major player under Simon Walker.

Leg 2 Selections: Intricacy
This is a good opportunity for the highly-promising INTRICACY to open his account at the second time of asking in this race. He shaped very well when runner-up at Wolverhampton on his debut when only headed in the closing stages and Roger Varian’s charge, who will have learnt a lot from that experience, should prove tough to beat with more to come. First Sight can chase him home.

Leg 3 Selections: True Romance, Sicario
TRUE ROMANCE has performed well in both his latest starts over hurdles and returns to the Flat off a handy mark. He’s a course winner off a much higher mark and while his losing is slowly mounting up, the eight-year-old could be about to make his present felt. SICARIO has made the frame in five of his last six starts including over track and trip last month and wasn’t far into third last time. Even if he doesn’t win this, he is worthy of inclusion as he should easily be in the first three again in this moderate race.

Leg 4 Selections: Suanni, Spanish Angel
SUANNI landed a course-and-distance event last month and while he wasn’t quite at his best when last spotted, he looks the sort who would bounce back. Drawn well in stall five with David Probert booked to ride, he should go quite well here. SPANISH ANGEL won at this course off a thirteen pounds higher mark last year and has gone close the last two times in finishing second to suggest his turn is near. Likewise to the former, he’s drawn well and has a good record here, so it’s hard to see him out of the frame in this contest.

Leg 5 Selections: Aussie Banker, Young Fire
AUSSIE BANKER has two wins to his name this year and the latest of those was under William Buick two weeks ago. He is five-pounds higher in this race but he has run well at this track before and should be thereabouts in the backend if this race. YOUNG FIRE is well-treated nowadays and has mostly been competing in stronger events than this. He should get a good pace and drops in grade plus he was a fine fourth here two weeks ago, so he’s high on the shortlist.

Leg 6 Selections: Mr Inspiration
The experienced Tairann shaped with plenty of promise when third on her debut but John Gosden has an excellent strike-rate at this venue and therefore MR INSPIRATION could be tough to beat on his debut. He makes a lot of appeal on paper and William Buick has been booked to ride, which is a positive, so this son of Dubawi could easily make a successful debut in this race.
