Spezia vs Napoli – Napoli win

The first leg of our Super Sunday treble sees Serie A league leaders Napoli travel to 17th place Spezia, with 35 points separating the sides.

Spezia look like they will face fierce competition from Hellas Verona to survive the drop, with Sampdoria and Cremonese over nine points off Napoli’s opponents. Despite a run of five games unbeaten coming to an end with defeats to Roma and Bologna, they have a tough ask of getting any points on the board against a free-flowing Napoli side.

Aside from a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan back in early January, which was their first defeat of the league campaign, Napoli have been electric this season. Big wins over AC Milan, Juventus and most recently Roma has seen them open up a 13 point gap at the top, which might be too much for second place Inter to claw back.

We can’t see how Napoli don’t pick up a win this weekend, which is why we’re backing them to win as our first selection on Sunday.

Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United - Nottingham Forest win

Leeds United travel to the City Ground in the second leg of our Super Sunday treble.

Forest will want to forget their Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United and get back to winning ways against Leeds on Sunday. With two wins and a draw from their last three league games,

Steve Cooper’s side have bounced up the table and in 13th, which is admittingly only four points off the relegation zone, but comfortable distance between them and the sides below them.

Leeds United are one of the teams below Forest, currently in 15th place. They have failed to win any of their last six games in the league, but have progressed to the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, which could help gather momentum. A tough trip awaits them, and with the reverse fixture being postponed, we are yet to see these sides clash as of yet.

We think it could be a rather close encounter between these sides, but we think the hosts will take the victory on this occasion.

Tottenham vs Manchester City – BTTS and Over 2.5 goals

These sides face each other once again in quick succession, with Manchester City travelling to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Harry Kane and co.

The hosts almost stunned the champions by going into half time 2-0 up in the reverse fixture earlier in January. They did go on to lose, but have since won against Fulham and won their FA Cup tie against Preston.

Arnaut Danjuma was on the scoresheet and as Steven Bergwijn scored a well taken goal against Pep Guardiola’s side a few seasons ago, they could see a fellow Dutchman conjure up a similar strike to help them in what will be a tough game.

Manchester City were staring three straight defeats in the face at half time in the reverse fixture, but have scored eight goals in all competitions since then, conceding none.

They will be wary of the threat that Tottenham brings, and will have to win to catch the other North London side currently on top of the lot in the Premier League. They have lost each of their last four at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium going back to October 2018, failing to score a single goal in any of those fixtures.

However, with the likes of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland leading the line for their respective sides, we think it could be another goal glut like the 4-2 win for Manchester City just a few weeks ago.

It will be too close to call a winner in this one, but we do think both teams will get on the scoresheet, and that there will be over 2.5 goals in the match, just like the reverse fixture.
