Accrington Stanley vs Plymouth Argyle – Plymouth Argyle to win to nil

Promotion-chasing Plymouth Argyle will be bidding to make it back-to-back victories in League One when they travel to struggling Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night.

Accrington Stanley are having a disappointing season having just 35 points from 36 matches, which has left them in 21st position in the table, one point from the safety of 20th position.

John Coleman's side have only collected five points from their last six league games, suffering defeats to Ipswich Town, Portsmouth and MK Dons during a disappointing run.

Steven Schumacher's side in second position in the table, one point behind leaders Sheffield Wednesday and two ahead of Ipswich Town in third.

Plymouth have been victorious in three of their last four league matches, including a 2-0 success over Forest Green Rovers on Saturday afternoon and have won their last four matches against Accrington in all competitions.

Accrington have only scored a miserable six goals in their last 11 League One appearances, compile this with their bad run of form, especially against Plymouth we fancy an Argyle win here and for Schumacher’s men to not concede as well.

Barnsley vs Sheffield Wednesday – Barnsley Double Chance

There is a mouth-watering fixture in League One on Tuesday evening, as division leaders Sheffield Wednesday make the trip to Oakwell to take on fourth-placed Barnsley.

Michael Duff’s Tykes are actually unbeaten in League One since the middle of January, winning nine of their last 11 in the league during a brilliant run of form.

Oakwell has been a fortress in recent times for Barnsley with the Tykes winning their last five League One games at home.

Darren Moore's side remains top of the table on 78 points after claiming a 1-1 draw with Bolton last time out, this leaves them one point clear of second-placed Plymouth, who have played two games more than the team at the summit.

This has the potential to be a top game of football and it will be hard to pick the two sides apart. Barnsley’s fantastic home form could see them in good stead on Tuesday but you can’t take anything away from Sheffield Wednesday who are undefeated in their last 23 league games.

We think Barnsley are in a better-attacking form compared to the visitors and with the game being played at Oakwell we fancy Barnsley to cause an upset here but it could very well up end being a draw, due to Sheffield Wednesday league know how, so we are going to go for Barnsley double chance.

Gillingham vs Crewe – Gillingham

Aiming to consign their respective weekend defeats to history, bottom-half battlers Gillingham and Crewe Alexandra battle it out at Priestfield Stadium on Tuesday night.

The New Year certainly brought a new sense of optimism for Gillingham, who had only suffered three league defeats in 2023 prior to their trip to a Walsall side who just could not buy a win, but another poor attacking display cost Gillingham.

Crewe have only managed to win just three games from 15 in 2023 with all three of the Railywaymen's wins coming on their own patch, Bell's men have failed to win any of their last eight League Two games on the road and because of this, we fancy a Gillingham win here.
