Liverpool vs Aston Villa – Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s men have returned to form and have managed to put themselves in the position for a top-four finish, whilst Unai Emery’s men also have European ambitions of their own.

Liverpool have been dominant in the last six games having won all six and during this period have scored 14 whilst only conceding six goals in the process. The emergence of Cody Gakpo in the false nine and the resurgence of Trent Alexander-Arnold in the half-back role have improved Liverpool’s chances of making a top-four finish.

The Reds also have a strong record at home with them stringing together an 11-game unbeaten streak and taking 29 points from 33 points on offer.

Since Emery’s appointment, Villa have started dreaming of European football, which could certainly be a reality if they are able to win their next two games. History suggests that Aston Villa face a tough task on Saturday; Emery has played Liverpool seven times and is winless in all seven of these games and Aston Villa have failed to win in their last five games against Liverpool.

With history on their side and performances significantly improving week-on-week, we fancy a buoyant Liverpool to win this one.

Fulham vs Crystal Palace – Fulham

The final London derby of the 2022-23 Premier League season takes place at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon, as Fulham and Crystal Palace continue to amble toward the finish line.

Marco Silva’s men are only six points away from seventh place Tottenham but chances of seeing European football are slim. Silva will be happy with the return of Aleksandar Mitrovic last week and a goal from the Serbian international will also please the Portuguese manager after Mitrovic’s lengthy suspension, with the Cottagers claiming victory in their last two.

The last two games for Crystal Palace are dead rubbers with only Chelsea to go above, but with talk of Roy Hodgson possibly extending his stay at the Eagles, he will be hoping for positive results in both matches. Palace have struggled away from Selhurst Park in 2023 with only two wins on rivals turf, although both those triumphs came under Hodgson.

We expect Fulham to win this final London derby and keep the momentum against a Crystal Palace side struggling away from home.

Wolverhampton vs Everton – Wolverhampton

A Wolverhampton Wanderers side who have already assured themselves of Premier League safety tackle an Everton outfit still fighting to stave off demotion in Saturday's Molineux matchup.

Since his appointment, Lopetegui has worked wonders at Wolverhampton and a key part of his success has been his sides home form. They have won their last four at Molineux without conceding a goal and have remarkably kept seven clean sheets from nine Premier League home matches in 2023.

Everton are hovering above the relegation zone and a win here will go a long way toward the Toffees’ survival hopes. Sean Dyche’s men have been good on the road having only lost one of their last six Premier League games but they have only managed to win one of those games and Saturday’s fixture feels like a must win, so expect Everton to try and push for a win but Wolves to counter. 

Celtic vs St Mirren – Celtic

Celtic have been dominant under Ange Postecoglou this season and have already wrapped up the Scottish League title but they are coming off the back of a 3-0 loss to rivals Rangers.

St Mirren finished the first phase of the Scottish division in sixth place by just two points and have struggled since being in the second phase. Stephen Robinson’s men have failed to win in their last four and even more daunting is that Celtic have won 19 of their last 23 matches against St. Mirren in all competitions.
