James Murphy Everton vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder tips for the Monday Night Football featuring Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
20:00 Monday
Everton host Crystal Palace on the Monday Night Football in the Premier League.
After a tough run of home matches, they will eye this up as an opportunity to pick up their first league win of 2024. For the away side Crystal Palace, they need to stop a rot of their own, only winning one of their last six matches.
Having hit the post in both of my Bet Builder articles for oddschecker so far (both came one leg away from a winner), I’m hoping for a bit more luck in this week’s selection.
I fancy the home side to have the better of this match: I’m backing goals, some home corners and a couple of player selections too below.

Everton vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder Tips
2+ Goals
Crystal Palace’s last 16 league matches have had two or more goals, including their last eight away from home.
For Everton, their home matches average 2.25 goals per match this season, with Palace averaging three goals per match away from home. Indeed, eight of Everton’s last 12 home matches have had two or more goals.
Of the last nine meetings between these sides, only one has had fewer than two goals. I expect a few goals here, and think Everton are an outside possibility to score two themselves, but I’ve backed overall match goals to play it a bit safer.
Calvert-Lewin to have a shot on target
Calvert Lewin has had a shot on target in six of his last seven home starts for Everton, averaging 1.04 shots on target per 90 so far this season.
Overall, he has managed 11 shots on target in eight home starts for Everton, registering a shot on target in all but two home league matches.
Everton have just come out of a tough run of fixtures at home (their last five home league matches have been against Spurs, Aston Villa, Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle)/
The fact that Calvert-Lewin managed six shots on target in four of those, despite not starting against Man City, bodes well for this bet.
Tarkowski to commit a foul
James Tarkowski is likely to start at centre back for an Everton side that commits an average of just under 12 fouls per match this season - not many teams commit more.
Tarkowski himself averages 1.08 fouls per 90, and he has committed a foul in each of his last 11 starts for Everton - he has committed 17 fouls in total in those matches.
5+ Everton corners
Everton average 5.33 corners per match, whilst Crystal Palace concede an average of 5.83 corners against per match.
Despite the aforementioned tough run of fixtures at home, Everton have still managed a decent sequence of corners for at Goodison Park: they registered nine against Spurs, so I expect them to get more than five against this Crystal Palace team.
