This is the latest in a series of long shot bets from football tipster Mark O’Haire, who will be picking out his favourite selection for the weekend at odds of around 5/1 (6.0) or greater.

This week’s selection can be backed at 11/2 (6.50) on bet365.

Saturday Football Tips from Mark O’Haire

RB Leipzig to win and Both Teams To Score at 11/2 (6.50) with bet365

Bayern Munich announced Thomas Tuchel’s tenure would be coming to an end this summer after FC Hollywood suffered a third successive defeat for the first time in nine years.

Having dropped eight points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen following a shock 3-2 reverse at Bochum last weekend, the Bavarian giants made the announcement to part ways with Tuchel, leaving Xabi Alonso at the top of the next Bayern manager odds market.

After the Bochum game Joshua Kimmich, who had been substituted, had to be pulled apart from Tuchel’s assistant, Zsolt Low, as they argued. Tuchel himself admitted post-match, “Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong today”, whilst Leon Goretzka labelled it “a horror movie that won’t end”.

Will this week’s news prompt a response? Potentially, though Tuchel’s troops are severely undermanned in defensive areas ahead of their massive match-up with RB Leipzig. Bayern could be coming into battle without any available right-backs, whilst gung-ho Raphael Guerreiro is the only confirmed left-back fit enough to feature from the off.

Noussair Mazraoui, Konrad Laimer, Bouna Sarr, Sacha Boey and Dayot Upamecano are all absent for Saturday’s showpiece, with Alphonso Davies remaining doubtful.

The Bavarians may need to field Eric Dier as a makeshift right-back or revert to a back-three which worked dreadfully in their dismal and damaging recent defeat against league leaders Bayer Leverkusen (now rated 84% likely to win the Bundesliga even at best odds).

Already appearing directionless, rudderless and hugely vulnerable, Bayern look easily opposed as 7/10 (1.70) favourites on Saturday night, especially with Leipzig arriving with close to a best XI available. The likes of Xavi Simons, Dani Olmo, Benjamin Sesko and Lois Openda should be well-capable of putting this makeshift FCB rearguard to the sword.

RB Leipzig have rarely been straightforward opposition for Bayern in recent years, and the visitors have really caught the eye when facing Germany’s elite opponents this term. Marco Rose’s men have racked up at least two goals in all six of their fixtures against top-four rivals Bayern, Leverkusen, Dortmund and Stuttgart, with a repeat here well within range.

I’m therefore happy to support Leipzig with Die Rotten Bullen a tasty price to upset the odds in Munich. We can bring the away side into Long Shot territory by backing Leipzig to win and Both Teams To Score at 11/2 (6.50), a selection that paid-out in last May’s match-up between the two teams at the Allianz Arena.
